Drake Lyric "Share it like the Last Slice" Pizza Theme Single Card with Lined Envelope - Valentine's Day - Love - Pizza + Food Love
First, I love pizza. Always have. I can remember my dad taking my brother and I to Angela's Pizzeria in Brooklyn, NY and always anticipating that steaming hot, and oozing cheese pizza. It was a love affair that lasted until the last bite, which I attempted to prolong might I add, by removing cheese and adding it to the crust. Hmm...delicious memories!
Second, I haven't always loved Drake. And I don't love him the way many do. Which presented a conundrum when I fell in love with his song from 2009, "Best I Ever Had." I loved the song swiftly and with ease. Even though I giggled every time for the hypocritical-ness of my love for his song, but my dislike for Drake. Sigh. Dilemma.
So I made a card. Which I suppose shows a greater love than I initially intended, but I maintain that it's for the love of the song and this one lyric in particular. It pulls to my memory of melted cheese romance and times spent with my dad and brother in Brooklyn. It also pulls to my love of pizza. Pizza is hands down something I've spent the greater part of my life loving. I'm 37 by the way, which means I've spent at least 30 years loving pizza. Talk about timeless!
Call my appreciation for pizza a love of Italy (Which is truth! Ask me about my time eating pizza around Italy?), for my dad, for my brother, for tomatoes, for cheese, for old Brooklyn, for current pizzerias in NYC, for the man who painstakingly makes pizza by hand at Di Fara, for my old roommate, Dan, who every Wednesday during LOST seasons would order two slices and a calzone for both of us, for the guy I took to Artichoke for the first time all those years ago even before I knew I loved him, and yes, for Drake and his incredible word usage in this song.
If ANY of this resonated with you, well, then you may just have to buy this card for your loved one. Or just for you. Or for your friends you love to eat pizza with. Doesn't matter. Share your heart. Enjoy it like it's the last slice. Drake would be proud.
Cards are standard A2 size (4.25x5.5 inches), blank inside. All cards come with a kraft (paper bag) colored envelope lined with a pizza illustration by me. Printed on 30% recycled cream/off-white card stock. Card is properly credited to Drake.
