I noticed her in my 20s, but didn’t think too much about her. Instead choosing to call her “my inner goddess" - so original I know! She’d appear at moments of extreme struggle. I first remember her appearing during my marathon training days. On mornings/afternoons where I could not gather the motivation to put my feet together to run one more mile, I’d call on her. And she never failed me. And then I forgot about her. Well, I didn’t forget about her, I just stopped calling on her. I stopped giving her attention. Even that slight attention during running hurdles was an acknowledgement she needed - that I needed.
In 2020, on my birthday, after some time, I called on her again. And she answered and hasn’t left, although her voice has been soft the past two years. It was earlier this year, in July 2026, that she became louder ab out my future and a project I started in 2023 and put down due to other ideas and situations that arose. Yet, here we are, six years later, and my inner goddess is inspired by many goddesses. Right now, we have Pandora and Isis. There is also Astarte, but she’s the mother of them all for me. I do my work in conjunction with her.
When I originally began working on Pandora’s Box, I saw it as a way of combining all the pieces of myself to help others. I don’t think I was quite ready for that work back in 2023. But now, I am ready to create a collective space that allows for ritual, reflection, and offerings.
Pandora’s Box is a seasonal magical subscription box that includes herbal elements, a single votive candle, stationery, mythology educational materials to introduce you to the story of the goddess and the lore, as well as writing tools and reflection prompts. There is the possibility for more items, however, each box is inspired by what feels intentionally “correct” for that ritual.
Out inaugural box was properly crafted with the Greek goddess Pandora in mind and all of the elements within speak of her journey, as well as our individual journey with shame, guilt, curiosity, and blame. Our goal through ritual is to start our new calendar year off with the hope that remained trapped in the jar (box).
You can see the box which launched on Kickstarter as part of their annual Witchstarter series yesterday, 10/1/26. There are various reward levels on the Kickstarter in case you don’t want a full box, but there is also an opportunity to fund the first box for January 2027, plus the four boxes for the quarterly seasonal equinoxes and solstices. I’ll be sharing more information about this journey on Substack in the coming days, should you care to follow me there.
